Ingrid Middleton LCSW, is a natural healer and psychotherapist with degrees in psychotherapy, film, art, anthropology and is a certified yoga and mindfulness leader. She is also a published author of five books on nature and healing with advanced bodywork and somatic training. She specializes in deep and exploratory approaches to therapy helping those feel that life is both a journey and adventure in learning about one's strengths and capacities. She also fosters, adopts and trains service dogs particularly German Shepherds and believes they are true companions and aid in overall mental health of human beings.
She has extensive experience working with individuals impacted by war, military service, and trauma-related disorders and specializes in treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among veterans, active-duty service members, and civilians affected by conflict, integrating evidence-based approaches with somatic and relational practices to restore safety, trust, and meaning. In addition to her clinical expertise, Ingrid incorporates animal-assisted approaches into her own work, partnering with veterans in their healing. By fostering the human-animal bond, she helps cultivate regulation, resilience, and companionship, offering a unique pathway to recovery and renewed connection after trauma.
